  • Now Offering: Embroidery & Monogramming Services

Hello! So, I did a thing.. I bought an embroidery machine! She has been working hard! It has been such a fun thing to learn a new skill! I am very excited to be able to bring you new options! Let's talk about these photos. Phil's Crawfish asked me to design this logo for them several years ago. They gave me some guidelines, they really wanted to incorporate the picture of the crawfish serving a draft beer and the lettering around it needed to be the same as the Slap Ya Mamma seasoning. Being able to put that design on a cap for them was a full circle moment! Collage Rehabilitation Services is a company with about 25 locations across the country. They asked me to make jackets with their embroidered logo for all of their employees (about 1,100!) and ship them out to all of their locations. My husband and I worked day and night for several weeks and got it done under the deadline! I am happy to say that they were very happy and no jackets had any issues and nothing was returned or exchanged. That in itself was a rare accomplishment! The stadium blanket is a new thing that I discovered this month. It is made by Gildan out of their sweatshirt/hoodie fleece material. I love it. Usually fleece blankets feel very cheap and pick up every piece of lint or animal hair. This is a very sturdy blanket that I know you are going to love. I personalized this one as a sample for the Track & Field team at Klein Cain High School. I can add any logo or personalization for you! I was asked by the Klein Cain Softball team coach to add a beanie with their logo to their spiritwear page and we just think this is so awesome! Their logo stitched perfectly and I know they are going to raise a lot of money being able to offer this! I spent yesterday doing stitchouts of everything on felt so I could show you some real examples of what I can do. The top two photos are the text fonts that I am currently offering. I stitched them out with their names. Story Love is a larger font, it cannot go on something small and has two colors of thread, you can pick the colors for the inside fill and the outline. If you want to see what your text would look like, or want to know how small/large is possible- just reach out to me and I can make you a mock-up. The 3 Letter initial monograms are my favorites. The lettering for these in the photo being shown is TBJ. And lastly, the fourth photo are all logos that I had digiztized from a .png file and then stitched out. I wrote out a whole price list for Monograms, Personalization, Logo Work, and Full Design Work. You can find it at the link below. I also listed the prices for our most popular blanks items that I currently sell. If there is something you are wanting that isn't listed, I am sure that I can get it for you. My blanks list will be forever growing, there are so many possibilities out there to monogram on! Again, if you have any questions or special requests just reach out to me. I am always available by text 281-380-5511 or email: sales@robotpandacreations.com I have also set up a "Request a Quote" form that makes it very easy for you to tell me what you want and how you want me to contact you with my answers. Communication is the first key to great customer service and you know that I am all about that! Here is the link to the full information page: https://www.robotpandacreations.com/embroidery-options I think that covers everything! I am so excited to move forward with this and be able to offer you a whole new product! Tonya

  • How to Contact Me Directly

Hiya! I've been having some technical problems with the Wix chat button on the site. Chats are going to several different emails with no rhyme or reason. If you need to contact me with a question, concern, or any kind of issue with your order please do so at 832-380-5511. This is a cellphone so you can text or call. You can also reach me by email sales@robotpandacreations, but I am not getting notifications for those either. The cell number above will be immediate. Thank you! Tonya

  • The Pivot: Team Spirit Wear

Good morning! From the beginning, I have always seen videos and read blogs advising new businesses to "find your niche" and go from there. I wasn't sure exactly how to do that. I figured I would do a little bit of everything that I could and see what sticks. What am I good at and what will people respond to? My graphics background is in posters, flyers, and menu designs. I am mostly self-taught, so forgive me if I don't speak technically. But what I really like to do with my designs is to make bold statements that really grab your attention and evoke excitement. It is only natural that designing T-shirts that show off your team, squad, or school spirit seems to be my jam! It started by having parents contact me asking me for fun designs to show off their support for the children's youth leagues. Then other parents were contacting me for more spirit wear or special designs for holidays or events, and we just have been having a lot of fun with it. Before I knew it I was being asked to design some things for an elementary school, a youth football team, and a cheer squad. We have all of those designs ready to go and we look forward to their upcoming season/school year so we can see how the parents respond. I may be biased, but I think they all look really great! We are giving back a percentage of the sales to the respective organization. If this is something you would like to do for your organization please reach out and let us know! -Tonya

  • Welcome to 2022!

Robot Panda Creations made it through the holiday season! We learned a lot from creators and small businesses that went before us. We stocked up on materials and supplies in advance. We turned off a few labor-intensive items that we weren't sure we could pull off in a busy time. We did not want to let any of our customers down due to our unpreparedness. It worked out great! We were able to keep up with the holiday demand with no issues. Thank you to all who ordered from us, we hope your recipients loved their gifts! One thing that we have started to do over the past few months is custom shirts. We have done shirts for Little League teams, staffing needs, pool league team shirts, theme party shirts, and more! We really enjoy the design process and the pricing for these is based on the style, design, and size. They range in price from $18-$24. We are going to work towards adding samples to our store so that it is a streamlined process for you to order them. For now, just shoot us an email at sales@robotpandacreations.com and let us know what you need! We also had fun with a new size of an outdoor sign for your porch or patio. Wood will always be our favorite material to work with. Cutting, sanding, and staining to bring out the perfect imperfections is just so rewarding. Every piece is truly unique. Adding on our custom design makes the final product turn out great. We made this porch sign for a family member. You can't see it in this photo, but it has a jute rope attached to hang the sign easily. We are going to be adding a few varieties of this type of wood sign to our shop soon! New for 2022 is our shipping prices. It's one thing we have struggled to get a handle on. Is it better to offer free shipping because that is what people are used to with Amazon? Well, we aren't Amazon and "free" shipping doesn't mean free- we have to add that price into the cost of the item. That made our products seem very expensive. Then we tried to add a fixed amount for each type of product we sell. Well, we learned quickly that it is impossible to do it across the board because true shipping costs depend on where the product is being delivered to. We don't want to undercharge or overcharge anyone. We do like to use USPS Priority Mail because it comes with tracking and insurance. So, we have decided to change it up again and use the Wix built-in shipping calculator for Priority Mail. We hope that will be the fairest way to charge you for shipping and ensure that you get your purchase quickly. We are also now offering Local Delivery for a $6 Charge. This will be offered to anyone that is within a 30-mile radius from our location in Cypress, Texas. We will drop it off your porch or drive it to your office. Whatever is most convenient for you. You will see the option when checking out if you are within the delivery area. We hope you had a safe and happy holiday season! We look forward to bringing you more choices and helping you bring your ideas to life in 2022!

  • Sitewide Sale!

Good morning, everyone! Let’s get to the good part first. It’s our first sales holiday season! Emily and I talked last night and we decided to roll with all of the sales holidays and do a 20% off everything sale! Black Friday? Small business Saturday? Cyber Monday? We are hitting all of them! We hope you had a great Thanksgiving! We were thankful to be able to spend it with our family this year. We also got to see a very cool Cirque du Soleil show that evening. They are very accommodating for people with disabilities, so we had great seats to see the show. In the past couple of weeks, we have been working on a ton of custom orders. We love to make your wishes come to life! if you have anything in mind, please reach out to us. Here’s a cute custom hoodie we designed and made. We have lots of fun items that would make great teacher gifts, white elephant gifts, or personalized gifts. Everything you get from us is handmade with lots of love! Happy shopping!

  • Behind the Scenes: Our First Christmas Collection

Today we hit a milestone. We listed our 100th item for sale. It's a fun item, this unisex t-shirt. I was thinking about all of those annoying things that happen with the people we (mostly) love at Christmas gatherings and how to turn those stressors into a positive fun time. What's better than a drinking game? You can be the star of the party by wearing this snarky tee. We also came up with four fun wood round door hangers for you to choose from. Each circle sign is a lively way to greet your guests this holiday season. What makes our pieces unique? We start off with a top-quality very sturdy wood round. We sand it several times, condition it, and then stain it. It truly is a work of art before we even start adding the Christmas elements onto it. If you would like a custom phrase on one of them, just reach out to us and let us know! We are absolutely in love with these tabletop desk plaques! We saw this beautiful icicle glass tile at the store and knew we needed to create something festive with them. They would be a perfect solution to decorate your desk or reception area for the holidays without going "over the top". You can either lay them flat or put them on an easel stand. Teachers were the first people we thought of when making these. These would be a classic gift to give a teacher who could use them for years to come. The back can be signed by the child(ren) with their name and year so the memories will stick with their teacher forever. Well, I can tell you what will live on in our memories forever. Getting ready for the 2021 holiday season! Our Christmas | Winter Collection is the result of a lot of hours of research and work. We have been doing a lot of custom jobs also, so if there is anything you need for your loved ones or yourself- please keep us in mind!

  • Who we are. Nice to meet you!

I often try to write out why we started, and who we are, and why every purchase means so much to us. It's more than just the money. It's our purpose, it's Emily's recovery, it's our lives. We appreciate every single one of you. Truly. I made a little video to show you just who we are.

  • Halloween, Tshirts, and Koozies... Oh My.

Halloween may not be the Retail Nightmare before Christmas, but it is certainly the start of the holiday season. Or so we have read. TBD. To. Be. Determined. The new Halloween items we have added to the store are something we are really excited about! I mean if you want to pretend you live at the Bauer Manor, that'd be OK too. Just let us know when you place your order! Behind the scenes, we have been staying extremely busy and giving our new heat press a workout. We had a local business that purchased over 100 personalized koozies for their customers. We are also delving into staff T-shirts for another local company. We will be adding more apparel to our store in the upcoming weeks. But don't wait on that, if you have a group t-shirt in mind, reach out and let us know. We can design anything you have in mind and have access to an entire warehouse of high-quality apparel! We make everything in our home and ship it directly to you from Texas. There is no drop shipping or overseas shipping delays or low-quality materials. We guarantee that you will be 100% happy with your purchase. For now, we will leave you with this adorable Halloween T-shirt. It is available today! Just a click away.

  • Make a Sunflower coaster with me!

This video is blowing up on Tik Tok. We got lots of questions about the items/materials/tools that we use, so I wanted to answer them all: Cricut Maker amazon link Creative Fabrica for the sunflower designs creative fabrica link The text I created on Photoshop/Illustrator adobe creative crowd link Fonts used: Lovely Mother Sans and Lovely Mother Script creative fabrica link Oracal 651 Vinyl amazon link 4" Ceramic Tiles home depot link Adhesive Cork Backs amazon link Transfer Tape amazon link Xinart Cutting Mats amazon link (the one I have underneath everything is well used and barely sticky.) Weeding Tools & Exacto knife set amazon link Squeegee scraper amazon link Heat Gun amazon link for a similar one, my exact one isn't listed anymore Last but not least- Rubbing Alcohol to clean them before you apply the vinyl Most FAQ: Do you seal it with anything? No. The first batch that I made, I sealed with polyacrylic and it ruined them. It left a film and also made a lot of air bubbles. The second batch I made, I left them au natural and they have been heavily used with all kinds of wet drinks and spills with no problems. They still look new several months later. However- they cannot be put in the dishwasher or soaked.

  • Growing the Business - Rise and Grind

Good morning! It's time to rise and grind! Let's talk about this. You know why we started, how we started, where we started, and who we are. Let's talk about what is coming next. To do that, we must first look at what we have done so far. We have come up with some products that we like, are fun to create, and think you will enjoy. Items that could be purchased for yourself or gifts. Some things that Emily could help make, some things I mostly made alone. There were some hits and a lot of misses. What I am good at, best at, is graphic design. It's just what I have always done. When we opened our family business many years ago, a sports bar and restaurant, I made all of the advertisements, flyers, menus, etc. This family business closed a few years after Emily had her strokes. We just could not maintain it with the level of in-home care we had to provide plus doctor and therapy appointments. Butt, I still do this kind of graphic design work from home for a couple of local spots. So, it should have been no surprise that our recent big Father's Day sellers were related to works that I created with Photoshop. That is definitely something we are working on expanding a line of. More gift options of Shadowboxes and Framed Photo Collages will be coming soon. We are also working on a small wood square trio of stenciled graphics that Emily paints. This is a good amount of work that she does with her hands, and it works as OT home therapy for her. OT is occupational therapy - it helps people use their hands to do everyday tasks, such as dressing, hygiene, and eating. Emily still needs a lot of work with these things. Partly due to her vision impairment and somewhat because her hands don't work "normally." For instance, right now, she cannot open a can of soup, pour it into a bowl, put it in the microwave, and carry it to the table. Doing small tasks like painting these squares helps her long-term goals of hopefully cooking that can of soup one day. The third thing we are going to take on is a heat press. WIth our boost of Father's Day sales, I ordered a heat press! A heat press will allow us to transfer vinyl to material items. T-shirts, Koozies, and Kitchen Towels, oh my! Honestly, I have a lot to learn about using this new machine, though. It's not going to be a wham, bam, open the package, here you go ma'am kind of thing, But it is the thing that will take us to the next level of growth. Then, behind the scenes.. well, who am I kidding? This is all "behind the scenes". Ha. But another thing we are working on is our photos. We need to improve them. I made some new photo backdrops to help with this. Now I just need several hours of perfect lighting without shadows. So, as you can see, we have a lot on our current agenda. We are proud that every month has been an improvement in sales and we know that growing small means we will be able to sustain. Our overall goal for the next few months is to grind. Get ourselves set up for the holiday gifting season. Give you a great variety of gifts to choose from. We've got our work cut out for us! Be sure to watch our social media (especially Facebook, Instagram, & TikTok), to see the play-by-play of our journey!

  • Last Call for Father’s Day gifts!

This is the last week to order your custom handmade Father’s Day Gifts. We have had quite a few inquiries about changing up some of our offerings. Our answer is always “yes! We can do that”. If you come up with it, we can make it! In fact, that is how this frame with scrabble letters picture collage came to be. It started as a custom order. We can change up the phrase, the number of pictures, the colors, or anything else you think of. Just send us a message. We also have our Facebook and Instagram shopping stores set up. So you can shop directly without even leaving your app. We hear it takes about 3 clicks for that. We are crossing our fingers for a busy week! Please let us know if you have any questions!

  • Father’s Day Section is up

Good morning! This week was fun. We came up with a couple of new products that would make great Father’s Day gifts. First up is a Whiskey Glass & Tray Serving Set that has matching gold monogrammed letters. Second, we added some bronze hardware to our Grillin & Chillin Sign to make it a good place to hang the BBQ utensils and open a bottle. We also put together two gift baskets to be raffled off for a charity function. Stats Sports Bar & Grill often has events that give back to the community. This month it was King of the Wing, a wing sauce Cookoff, that benefited Boots For Troops. We really enjoyed doing this, so if you ever need a raffle or auction item for a local event, please reach out to us and ask! This coming week we are going to concentrate on a couple of new things. First, turning a loved one’s handwriting (or your own) into a keepsake piece is something we are excited to start offering. I practiced with my own, and it turned out great! The blue is my handwriting in sharpie, and the red is cut-out vinyl. Looks exact! We also are going to tackle Facebook Marketplace. It's confusing because our whole store (minus the Mancave sign, because that has a beer on it and FB doesn’t allow anything to do with alcohol) is currently on FB Commerce and available on our FB business page, but it’s not on Marketplace? We need to figure that out. Do you have any tips for Marketplace? What kinds of things would you like to put your loved one’s handwriting on? Comment and let us know!

  • A few changes here & there

Good morning! I'm happy to report that we did get some orders over the weekend and got them to the post office Monday morning. Something I have noticed is that we only have friends/family using our website to order. We have had a few Etsy shop orders, though, to people previously unknown. It's thrilling to get any orders at all. We really do a happy dance, a high five, and even a few jumps of joy. We are such newbies. haha This week I did a small redesign to the website based on some comments we have had. I removed the yellow buttons and changed up the whole color themes, and added buttons to our shopping pages in the header, so they are easy to find from every page. I definitely do not want you to get stuck on a cart page with no way out. I think overall I made it more user-friendly and nicer to look at. I also reworked our pricing, titles, and descriptions on both Etsy and our website. We are really working on our SEO. It's harder than it sounds. I still am unsure how to get Bing to crawl us; the page Wix links to in their instructions is not there. As for pricing- Etsy pricing is a bit higher, it has to cover their fees. But overall, I think our pricing is a fair value for handmade crafted items. At this time, for purchases over $25, we still include free shipping. Speaking of shipping. We sent out an order a few weeks ago via UPS ground. It was to a local address, and the price was $3 cheaper than USPS Priority Mail, and it was supposed to get there the next day. Well, it did not arrive the next day. The tracking info said it was handed directly to a man at the home. This order was to someone I know, so I trusted her 100% that it did not arrive. I went to the dropoff location, and they could not help me due to them being a franchise. I called the 800 number, and they could not help, only that it had been dropped off. We use Shippo for all of our shipping labels, and we could ask for a refund from them- but only after 20 days. So I went to work on remaking the order. Two days into the process (it really takes us some time to stain and clear coat the wood pieces), the package randomly showed up and arrived with other items ordered from other companies! 10 days after it supposedly was first handed to the customer. What did I learn from this? First, saving $3 was about to cost me a lot more than that. Also- I am 100% a Customer Satisfaction kind of person. It comes from my years of working in the service industry. If something is not right, I am going to fix it every which way I can. I am an "above and beyond" kind of person, and our policies need to reflect that. tldr: Our new policy is to stick with USPS Priority Mail for all shipping. Updated our Return Policy to 100% Satisfaction Guaranteed. Anyhow. Please take a look around our website and give us some feedback!

  • First Live Booth!

A local sports bar, Revelry on Richmond, held a Crawfish Cookoff yesterday and we had our very first vendor’s booth to sell our products. Whew! It was a lot of work, but worth it! Thankfully, we had help from our family. This pic is me and all three of the kids. We tailor made some crawfish themed stuff and signs that could be bought on the spot and not special ordered. It was great to get immediate feedback on what resonated with people and what did not. It is definitely great to see that immediate reaction. We were very happy with the amount of sales, we sold close to half of the inventory we brought. That leaves us with some new items to add to our online store! Be on the lookout today and tomorrow for those new products! I am especially excited to introduce our distressed look signs. These started as a double mistake and ended up looking amazing! How were they a double mistake? Well, we had a sign that we tried wood burning that did not work out at all. That’s the first mistake. Then we tried to see if we could salvage it with white paint. Well, it was going to take more than one coat of paint and you have to sand in between coats. But because the wood already had a clear coat on it, the white paint just sanded right off. That was the second mistake. But it turned into something really interesting and we worked to see if we could recreate it. And we did! So we are excited to add this collection to the store! Hope you all have a great Sunday! I’ll be sure to post on our social media when our new products hit the online shelves!

  • Hit a milestone and it’s about to get cray..

This past week has been a whirlwind! First, let me say this. We appreciate every order from our friends and family. If it weren’t for you, we would’ve closed day two. But it was a special thrill to get an order from someone we didn’t know! It was on Etsy, and it just gave me the feeling of “yes, people do like our stuff and we can do this”. We completed that order, a beautiful ebony stained personalized garden sign, and got a 5⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ review so we are hoping that leads to more. We shall see! This Saturday, April 24, we are going to have our very first in person sales booth. Revelry on Richmond, in Houston, is hosting a Crawfish Cookoff. We have been working feverishly at creating fun crawfish & drink themed items. We have been posting them on our social media channels. We will give you a little preview. Be sure to check our social media links for more pics. These items will be exclusive to the live booth, so we hope to see you out there! Revelry on Richmond is located at 1613 Richmond Ave., Houston, Tx, 77006. April 24th starting at 1pm. It’s Free to attend, but if you want to taste all of the crawfish and help vote for People’s Choice that is $20.

  • Recipe for Happiness

In our Mother's Day Pop Up Shop, we added a casserole baking dish with a "recipe for happiness" beautifully etched into it. It was a fun project to make. We designed the graphic with a stencil type of font so that there would be less mistakes when pulling the letters out of the vinyl. Keep all those inner bits of a's and o's and g's in there. But also, we didn't want it to look stencil-y. We used a lint roller as a kind of sticky bin as we pulled each letter out. The end result after using Etchall on the pyrex dish was really cool. It got me to thinking about happiness and what that means in life. Different for everyone, I suppose. But when I am focused on a goal, no matter how large or small, that is what brings about my happiness. Some days my only goal may be finishing a Netflix series, because I need those kind of days. Those small goals are what helps me find the energy to do the big goals. Emily's journey has been a long uphill one. She started from zero- from near death and that is no exaggeration. I am so very proud of how many goals she has met. Has she found happiness in them? She has found satisfaction, strength, and a belief in herself that she never knew she had before. She and I differ in the happiness part of it all though. I suspect it is our age difference. She still sees a lot that she does not have, I am grateful for all that I have. If there were one thing I could teach to my children it would be how to let your goals be your happy place, they are not your short-comings. Do not despair that they are not complete, find happiness in the work it takes to achieve them. Yesterday, I found happiness in making that casserole dish. Researching the method, planning the steps I needed to take to make it, carefully pulling each letter out, pouring out the etching cream, setting the timer, hoping for the best as I washed away the bits and goo of my work, and seeing the beautiful final product. Pure happiness.

  • Second-ish Week

This week has been all about putting in some SEO work. We focused on making our product photos look their best by removing the background in the main images and going with a neutral color. We also set up an Etsy shop. Starting off we need all the exposure we can get. :) TBH, it’s been a slow start. I remember back when our family opened our former sports bar & grill, Mezzanine Lounge, in Houston. We thought it would be an instant crowded success. We had all the experience, all the ideas, and plenty of friends to fill the place. It was empty! We had to put in the boots on the ground hard work over many months. We did and it succeeded. We are taking the same approach here with our online store. Learning everything we can and putting in the hours to build up this business little by little. We come to this with the most necessary tools of success. Perseverance, determination, and a positive attitude. And a bit of snark, because what is your life if you can’t laugh at it? Hope you all are having a great week!

  • First Week

Well, we are heading towards the end of our first week. It has been a slow start, but probably a good thing. It gave us a chance to catch our breath after the hard push to get things going. We did get to make a couple of custom orders - an inspirational rainbow sign & a wood sign for a wedding gift table. We loved the rainbow sign so much that we added a similar one to our store. You can check that out here: Beautiful Destinations Rainbow Sign We also started adding new designs and products to the store. Going through IKEA we found a lot of things that can be customized and made a bit more our style! This new category is called Fun-ctional. Get it? Fun? Ha. We especially love the silverware holders. Many many moons ago, when Martha Stewart still had a show, I saw a cute idea for setting your silverware out in nice glasses for your guests when having a family gathering. I have done this ever since, but it can be a challenge to find the right glass that won’t topple over. These utensil holders from IKEA’s Fintorp collection are perfect! We came up with some cute puns to make them more RPC style and voila!, they’re sassy and perfect for your family get-togethers. We hope you will like them! Last, but not least, we decided to change up our shipping model and offer FREE shipping on all purchases over $25. Happy Shopping!

  • We are open!

We took the weekend to work out the kinks. And boyyyyy- were there kinks! Most of all it was a good lesson to triple check everything. From making sure all of the elements are on the proof, to making sure all of the hardware is on the product, to checking the post office times before driving there.. we think we covered it all. In the end, we successfully created and packaged and sent our first seven orders. We are so excited to open today! PS Isn't that mustache bag cute? IKEA find for less than a dollar!

  • Here we go!

Soft opening day! We are doing a pre-launch party weekend for a small group of select people to get the kinks out. Learned this from the restaurant & bar industry. This is our first endeavor into online retail & shipping. Crossing our fingers, but also crossing our t's and dotting our i's. If you have been watching our social media, you have seen how hard we have been working for the past couple of months to get this all together. I have to say that YouTube & TikTok have been very helpful at teaching us lots of new things and hacks. Everything- from using a circular saw (one of those scary plug in types, lol) to learning how to load a tape pistol to using a laser level, it's all been new! We've made some mistakes along the way (who's idea was it to try wood burning anyway??) and we came up with some really fun ideas too. Teaching Emily to stain wood has been a highlight. She was wearing gloves and still managed to get it all the way up her arm. We laughed and scrubbed and gave up and she just stayed stained until it wore off. The best part of starting this journey has been working with Emily, finding things she can do to create and to contribute, and looking for her abilities rather than her disabilities. It is my purpose to help her find purpose in her life, so here we go! Let's do this! We can only grow from here!
